Eagle Knoll Trail
The Eagle Knoll Trail is a 2.0 km out-and-back hiking route in Mount Revelstoke National Park that provides scenic views overlooking the city and Lake Revelstoke. This is an easy-going trail with relatively flat terrain, making for a fun hike that people of almost every skill level will be able to enjoy. Hikers looking for a longer journey can take some time exploring other short trails atop the mountain in order to gain a better appreciation for the beauty of the park.

Route Description for Eagle Knoll Trail
Hiking along the Eagle Knoll Trail is a fairly quick affair that sets out from the parking area just off of the Meadows in the Sky Parkway and traverses some easy terrain on the way to a viewpoint overlooking the city. From here, hikers will be able to look out over the valley below and spot the dam, as well as Lake Revelstoke stretching out to the north and a plethora of mountains framing the backdrop. After taking in the sights, make your way back along the trail as it passes through the scenic alpine landscape. If you time your hike for the late summer, you will be able to witness the beautiful wildflowers in full bloom.
The easy nature of this hike and the proximity to other trails within the park make this a great day-hike option for families and casual hikers that are looking to explore the beauty of Mount Revelstoke National Park without the commitment of some of its longer and more physically demanding routes.
Getting to the Eagle Knoll Trail Trailhead
To access the parking area for the Eagle Knoll Trail from the BC-1 Highway in Revelstoke, take the exit toward Mount Revelstoke National Park and follow the Meadows in the Sky Parkway for 24.4 km to reach the parking lot.
