Route Description for Fountain Inn and River Adur Walk
If you’re looking for a gentle walk in the English countryside that gets you out and moving but doesn’t require too much effort, the Fountain Inn and River Adur Walk in West Sussex is a fantastic adventure to tackle! You will have to navigate some stiles and gates, but the stiles have gaps big enough for most canines to fit through. You may discover some cattle grazing in the fields, too, making it essential to keep your pup close. However, this walk boasts lovely scenery, ranging from paths cutting through fields, riverside sections, and peaceful country lanes.
Setting out from Ashurst Village Hall, you’ll head left towards the Fountain Inn, where you’ll cross the B2135. Take care here! After you cross, you’ll spend the rest of the circuit switching between lovely fields, country lanes, and river embankments. Eventually, you’ll loop back around to arrive back at the village hall.
