Route Description for Lyndhurst Hill and Swan Green Circular Walk

Setting out from the Swan Green Car Park, the Lyndhurst Hill and Swan Green Circular Walk follows the Cut Walk trail towards Alum Green and Highland Water. Just after Highland Water, you’ll go right to walk in the direction of the New Forest Reptile Centre, where there are toilets just in case you need them! The New Forest Reptile Centre is only open on select days, so if you really want to combine this walk with some time with snakes, amphibians, and lizards, be sure to check their information online before going. After, continue making your way to the next waypoint: Portuguese Fireplace, a war memorial. Around 900 m later, you’ll go right, followed by another right after 500 m. Continue following the path towards Acres Down Farm, where you may encounter some campers and people enjoying delicious tea. If it’s a rainy day, there’s no better place to stop for a cosy, warm drink! However, if you want to stop here, when you reach the parking lot, veer right to go back to your Swan Green Car Park, where the walk began.
