Route Description for Fountains Abbey Circular Walk
The Fountains Abbey Circular Walk has many stunning features and makes for a great family-friendly day out. Beginning from the car park, you will start your journey and follow the path throughout. Along the way, you will have the pleasure of seeing the amazing sites that this path holds, such as the landscaped gardens that date back to the 18th century. You will also be able to explore the Cistercian ruins as well as an old mansion and church.
Getting to the Fountains Abbey Circular Walk Trailhead
To get to the Fountains Abbey Circular Walk from Ripon, head west on Market Place S toward High Skellgate and continue onto Westgate. Turn left onto Park Street and at the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Studley Road and continue onto Limekiln Bank/B6265. Turn left onto Abbey Road and enter the roundabout, and you will arrive at your destination.
