Osmotherley to Over Silton Circular Walk

The Osmotherley to Over Silton Circular Walk is a great trail in North York Moors National Park that features beautiful views and a good variety of terrain. While out walking the trail, you will make your way across the open countryside and traverse the rugged terrain of the moor, before looping through a peaceful forest to reach the village of Over Silton. Sections of this trail - particularly along the moorland - can be fairly boggy, so make sure to wear proper walking footwear.

Route Description for Osmotherley to Over Silton Circular Walk
If you are looking to experience a variety of different landscapes and visit charming villages set within the backdrop of the North York Moors, then you will definitely want to check out the Osmotherley to Over Silton Circular Walk.
Setting out from Osmotherley, you will leave the village behind and traverse the open countryside to the southeast, passing through several swathes of woodland terrain before climbing uphill along Oakdale Beck.
After appreciating the views of the surrounding landscape, you will continue on towards the southwest to traverse the rugged moor and enter into the cover of the forest. After passing through the tranquil expanse of woodland terrain, you will arrive in the village of Over Silton. Heading through the village, you will turn to the northeast and once again pass through the forest, before making your way downhill on the return leg back into Osmotherley.

The trailhead for the Osmotherley to Over Silton Circular Walk can be found in front of the Our Lady of Mount Grace Catholic Church in the village of Osmotherley.
