Some sections along the trail are a bit rugged and can be slow-going; however, this is an excellent walk for beginners that are looking for a bit of a longer route.
If you are looking to experience the charming villages, picturesque countryside, and barren moorland terrain of North York Moors National Park, then the Rosedale Abbey and Blakey Ridge Walk offers a great opportunity to do so.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the southwest and pass through the charming village of Rosedale Abbey, turning to the northwest to walk along the winding banks of the River Seven. After meeting up with Daleside Road, you will follow it to the northwest to climb up the hillside on the way into Blakey Ridge.

Eventually, you will turn to the northeast and descend the steep hil;lside, passing by a golf course on the return leg into Rosedale Abbey.
The trailhead for the Rosedale Abbey and Blakey Ridge Walk can be found in the village of Rosedale Abbey, just after passing Haygate Bank road.
