If you want to avoid the throngs of beach goers that will inevitably populate the area around the trail, you will need to arrive early. Additionally, the coast is fairly exposed to the elements, so you may want to bring an extra layer to protect yourself from the wind and rain.

All things considered, this is an exceptional walking route, especially if you enjoy taking in beautifully scenic views along the beach. As you stroll along the sandy beaches, you will have the blue expanse of the ocean on your left and interesting highlights like the Dunne Waterfall on your right and Mussenden Temple dead ahead. This really is a great adventure that can be enjoyed by all.

At roughly one-third of the way through the walk, you will pass by the Dunne Waterfall on your right and marvel at the water cascading down the side of the cliff. Continuing on along the beach, you will have the impressive sight of Mussenden Temple straight ahead on the cliffs high above, which was once the library of the 4th Earl of Bristol.
