Route Description for Lough Bradan Walk
If you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet on the trails while taking in some beautiful waterside views, then you will be sure to enjoy the Lough Bradan walk. Laid back terrain and well-maintained pathways mean that this lovely lakeside adventure can be completed by walkers of all ages and skill levels.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will head to the southeast along a track that will lead you between some beautiful woodland plantations. After arriving at the shores of Lough Bradan, you will make your way around the edge of the lake and take in the beautiful views across the calm surface of the water and its forest surroundings.
Eventually, the trail will turn to the northwest and pull you further away from the lake, where you will come to the edge of the road. From here, you will turn right and follow the road east to reach the trailhead where you began your journey.
Getting to the Lough Bradan Walk Trailhead
The trailhead for the Lough Bradan Walk can be found 8.4 km southwest of Drumquin along Bradan Road.
