Route Description for Seskinore Forest Walk
Featuring a tranquil woodland atmosphere, a lovely garden, and the remains of an old estate, the Seskinore Forest Walk is an excellent way to spend an afternoon outdoors. There are several paths through the forests of varying length, allowing you to choose one that best fits your needs.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the southeast through the cover of the forest and follow the path as it turns south to arrive at a fork. Keeping left here, you will pass by the remaining buildings of the McClintock Estate and continue on as the trail bends to the west.
After crossing over Seskinore Road, you will continue to make your way around the trail loop, making sure to exercise caution, as this area is sometimes used for pheasant shooting. After completing this western portion of the loop and arriving back at the edge of the road, you will cross over it once again and pass by the estate buildings on the return leg of the walk back to your vehicle.
