Route Description for Hedley on the Hill CIrcular Walk
For those outdoor enthusiasts that are looking for a fairly short walking route that still features a good variety of terrain and scenic views, the Hedley on the Hill Circular Walk is a fantastic option to enjoy the beauty of the Northumberland landscape.
Setting out from The Feathers Inn in Hedley on the Hill, you will make your way east on Lead Road to explore the village, before picking up a footpath leading to the south. Here, you will leave the village behind and traverse the open countryside, heading slightly downhill to enter into the cover of the forest.
Take your time along this portion of the walk, as you meander through the serene atmosphere of the woodlands, before looping around for the return leg of the walk. Shortly after passing by a farm, you will head north and climb back uphill, once again traversing the farmland as you make your way back into Hedley on the Hill where you began.
