The Longhoughton and Littlehoughton Walk is a nice and easy adventure in Northumberland that will take you through the countryside for some nice views. While out walking the trail, you will leave behind the village of Longhoughton, traversing fields and woodlands to loop around Littlehoughton, before making the return journey across the countryside. This is a laidback adventure that is perfectly suited for an afternoon stroll.
Route Description for Longhoughton and Littlehoughton Walk
If the aim of your walk is more to get some decent exercise than it is to take in breathtaking views, then the Longhoughton and Littlehoughton Walk will definitely meet all of your needs. A variety of terrain and a pleasant countryside setting will characterize your time on this laid back trail. Setting out from the starting point at the North End transit stop, you will head north to leave the village behind, before branching off to the west and crossing over a railway line. From here, you will follow the route as it bends to the north, passing through Littlehoughton and the tranquil forests that surround it. After meeting up with a road, follow it to the right until you come to a junction with B1339, heading right once again to begin the return leg of the walk. Here, you will follow along the road as it cuts to the southeast through forest and farmland terrain, before eventually arriving back in Longhoughton where you began.Getting to the Longhoughton and Littlehoughton Walk Trailhead
