Route Description for Ellison Park Nature Trail
Ellison Park Park Nature Trail is a chilled-out, relaxing, family-friendly hike that gets everyone outside for a fusion scenery that everyone will enjoy: Okanagan Lake views, a trail hugged by soaring trees, and the best part: a swimming cove at the end. Be sure to bring your bathing suit and swimming sandals as the cove is rocky.
From the parking lot, you’ll head west towards Nature Trail, which is where your loop begins. At the first junction, you’ll take a right onto Nature Trail to kickstart your circuit, but instead of going all the way around and connecting with Ellison Provincial Park Road to form a loop, you’ll veer right and head towards the water, walking by two parking lots.
After you’ve finished cooling off, follow the trail back the way you came, past the two parking lots, until you reach the junction where you veered off to the swimming cove. Take a right to connect with Ellison Provincial Park Road. After around 400 m, you’ll take a left to meet up with the Nature Trail. Follow Nature Trail to complete your loop and meet up with the path that leads you back to the parking lot.
Getting to the Ellison Park Nature Trail Trailhead
