Araby Trail travels by cacti, mountain views, and fun rock formations to a gorgeous view of Palm Springs sweeping the valley below. This is a moderate hike that isn’t for the faint of heart! It pushes you to gain a decent amount of elevation in a short period, making it essential to pack a lot of water. One other thing to note is that dogs are allowed on a section of this trail. You’ll see a sign signalling when to turn around if you brought your furry friend. Be careful because there are reptiles along this trail.

    Route Description for Araby Trail

The Araby Trail in Palm Springs, CA, is a fun, challenging adventure that winds past cacti, hilly views, and funky rock formations towards gorgeous views of the valley below. At the start of the hike, you might be confused as it snakes around a residential area, but keep pushing on because the reward will force you to forget about the strange beginning. As you elevate, the natural views and scenery will take over. This is an out-and-back route, so once you revel in the vistas, head back the way you came.

There’s a network of trails along this adventure, so it might be handy to download the trail GPS before heading out. You’ll also pass by Bob Hope’s house, a British-American comedian who passed away in 2003 at 100 years old! We also advise getting to the trailhead in the morning before the desert heat takes over.
