Route Description for Earl Henderson Trail
The Earl Henderson Trail is a fun, short lollipop route that unveils stunning desert scenery punctuated by mountains looming in the backdrop. Although short, this trail will elevate your heart rate, so come prepared with some extra water. You’re hiking in the desert, after all.
Setting out from the trailhead, you can take on this trail in two different ways. One way is to take the lower loop first to get the worst part over with—deep sand and no views. Then, revel in the sights along the upper part as you make your way back. The other way is to take the upper part of the loop, turn around at the top, and return the way you came, skipping the mundane lower section. It’s up to you!
