Route Description for Wormstones Circular Walk
Walking the Wormstones Circular is a fantastic, family-friendly adventure due to the beautifully scenic views and well-maintained trails. The route sets out from the trailhead and briefly follows the road west before turning south to begin the climb up the moor along the edge of The Twitchlings Wood. After traversing the rugged yet beautiful terrain of the moor, you will arrive at the Wormstones, a rocky lookout with some amazing views across the vast expanse of the heather-covered moorland. Continue north along the trail before making your way northwest to descend the hill and eventually meet up with the road. Follow this west to arrive back at the trailhead where you began.
