North Mountain Park East Loop
The North Mountain Park East Loop is an easy, relaxing loop hike through a small park near Casa Grande, Arizona. This hike is family-friendly, beginner friendly, and almost everyone-friendly. There’s no real elevation gain or loss on this trail and you won’t be able to get lost in the park. Enjoy the saguaros that surround you and the scenery of the desert far enough outside of the city that you can just enjoy nature. Expect moderate traffic on this trail.

Route Description for North Mountain Park East Loop
The North Mountain Park East Loop is an easy, relaxed hike through a pleasant park outside of Casa Grande, Arizona. You’re far enough away from urban areas here that it almost feels like a day trip, and the trail itself is easy enough for all ages and all skill levels. Bring a picnic and enjoy the ramadas after your hike if you want to extend your fun.
This trail is easy and it’s nearly impossible to get lost in the park, but we still recommend bringing water with you on the trail and avoiding visiting during the heat of the day.
From the trailhead, hike towards W Camdon Drive, cross the road, and then follow the trail as it makes its way through the desert terrain. There are lots of impressive saguaros, some rock piles you or the kids can climb on, and interesting plant life. The loop makes its way gradually through the park, crossing back over the road and turning northeast towards the trailhead. In no time, you’ll be back where you started.
