Route Description for Hixon Falls Trail
The Hixon Falls Trail makes for a fantastic family-friendly adventure! Pack your swimsuit, towel and make a day out of revelling in a roaring waterfall backdrop while you swim in the deep pool. From the actual parking lot, it only takes around 250 m to reach the falls. When you get to the bottom, you can climb along the rocks, but take care as they can be slippery. After, hike back up and go down an additional path for another 200 m or so.
When you’re driving in, ensure you keep left at each “Y” to avoid a forestry trail that winds to the back of the falls.
Getting to the Hixon Falls Trail Trailhead
To get to the Hixon Falls Trail, head to Hixon Creek Road and stay left at each “Y” you pass. 3.6 km later, there is a parking spot on your left. This is the lower area of the falls.
