Route Description for Ah-Pah Interpretive Trail
The Ah-Pah Interpretive Trail is the ideal spontaneous adventure. Hop off the Parkway and immerse yourself in nature, letting the fresh coastal air fill your lungs. Lined with interpretive signs, this hike also provides the opportunity to learn more about the history of this beautiful environment. Easy-going and accessible explorers of all skill levels and ages can enjoy this route through the Merriam Grove. Your short but scenic trek along the Ah-Pah Interpretive Trail begins from the trailhead located just off the Newton B. Drury Parkway. From here, the path will guide you east into the woodlands. Though your walk will be polluted with traffic noise, the gorgeous scenery will outweigh the annoyance. You will soon reach the trail's end by traveling beneath a natural arch decorated with lush vegetation. Now beginning your hike back to the trailhead, we strongly encourage you to take the time to read the informative signs along the way!
