Route Description for Simpson-Reed Trail
Reconnect with nature, escaping the stressors of the real world along the Simpson-Reed Trail. This amazing adventure boasts an exciting adventure that the whole family can enjoy. Immerse yourself in a sea of redwoods and learn more about the history of the primeval forest. It is important to be mindful of the routes that obstruct the path as you hike! Additionally, as this route is located near the coast, it is often cloaked in fog!
Embark on your journey along the Simpson-Reed Trail from the trailhead off Walker Road. From here, head northeast along the Simpson-Reed Grove Trail into the forestlands. Shortly after your departure from the trailhead, you will confront an intersection. From here, the loop can be complete in either direction, but we chose to trek counterclockwise. Turning right, you will be guided southwardly through the woodlands. Winding through the forest you will be overwhelmed by the grandeur and beauty of the looming redwoods. Eventually, you will reach another junction; if you are tired, turn left and head back to the trailhead.
If not, continue along the Simpson-Reed Trail, and it will soon be redirected south. Enjoy the scene of the final leg of your trek, and then retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
