Route Description for Trillium Falls Trail
Immerse yourself in the enchanting environment characterized by looming redwoods, wildflowers, waterfalls, and wildlife along this hike. The Trillium Falls Trail is a beautiful adventure that the whole family can enjoy. Conveniently located off the Highway and family-friendly, this route sees plenty of traffic, so you will likely have to share the trail. Note Roosevelt Elk are often present at the trailhead, and though tempting—it is important not to approach them. Roosevelt Elk can be aggressive and dangerous, so keep your distance.
Setting out from the trailhead, track south along the Davison Trail, which will promptly deliver you to an intersection. Veer right here, and you will be diverted onto the Trillium Falls Trail. Wandering amongst looming redwoods, you will soon reach the Trillium Falls. Admire the beauty of the cascades following through the mossy canyon. Continue hiking, and the path will guide you will a grade via switchback. As you meander, enjoy the sights of the lush vegetation that bound the enormous conifers. This route will ultimately lead you back to the Davison Trail.
Now trekking north along the Davison Trail, you will likely be rewarded with sights of grazing Roosevelt Elk in the meadow to your right. Eventually, you will reach the trailhead marking the end of your adventure.
