The Bonneville Shoreline Trail from Hidden Valley to Draper is a fantastic, moderately challenging route near Salt Lake City. This trail is a popular mountain biking route, so when hiking, be sure to keep your eyes and ears open and allow bikes to pass you by. This leg of the Bonneville Shoreline trail has some steep sections, but the trail's views are totally worth the effort. Try this route in the fall when the orange and gold autumn leaves light up the surrounding forest for an especially beautiful hike.
From the trailhead, follow the Bonneville Shoreline Trail as it winds southwest. At the intersection of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail and Draper Alpine Road, turn around and follow your footsteps back to the trailhead where you began.
