Burch Hollow Trail
The Burch Hollow Trail is a beautiful hike through the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. This trail is challenging with a steep climb up to the destination viewpoint, but the hard work is definitely worth it. From the top you will earn incredible 360 degree views of the surrounding forest and of Salt Lake City way in the distance.

Route Description for Burch Hollow Trail
The Burch Hollow Trail is a great route for experienced or ambitious hikers. This hike gets seriously steep along a narrow and rocky trail. Hikers should be prepared with proper, supportive footwear and lots of water. We strongly recommend bringing along hiking poles to aid in your ascent and save your knees some strain on the way back down. If you are heading out in the winter, be sure to bring the snowshoes, as this route gets a lot of precipitation which makes for great snowshoeing but not-so-great hiking (unless you love to post-hole). Overall, the Burch Hollow Trail is an absolutely wonderful way to spend the afternoon enjoying the peace and beauty of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
From the trailhead, follow the trail west to a divide, then take a right and head up the switchbacks along the Pipeline Trail. Continue along the Pipeline Trail over Burch Hollow to a divide and take a left to head north. Continue north to another divide, where you can either turn left and head a short distance to a summit viewpoint, or enjoy the views from this junction before following the same route back down to the trailhead.
At the bottom, head over to the Terraces Picnic area or to the popular Log Haven Restaurant just down the road to enjoy a meal before heading back home.
