Route Description for Toledo Bowl via Cardiff Pass Trail
The Toledo Bowl via Cardiff Pass Trail is a beautiful out-and-back hike across from the Alta Ski area in Utah. This trail is short and steep with a rocky incline; proper hiking footwear is essential. We recommend bringing along a set of hiking poles to aid your ascent and save your joints some strain on the way back down. The Toledo Bowl via Cardiff Pass Trail will earn you spectacular views of the Alta Ski Area and the surrounding Utah Wilderness. For an especially spectacular experience, try this trail in the summer when the Utah wildflowers are in full bloom.
From the Cardiff Pass Trailhead, follow along Michigan City Road, then take your second left to head east over the stream towards the Cardiff Pass Trail. Stay right at the subsequent three divides to make your way up to a viewpoint before turning around and following your footsteps back to the trailhead.
If you are looking for more to explore in the area, check out the Albion Meadows Trail nearby.
