The Old CC Spur Trail is a nice and easy hike near San Bernardino that offers views of the city and surrounding landscape. While out hiking the trail, you will climb uphill along a dirt road, following it as it winds through the undulating landscape to offer views of nearby mountains, hills, and natural features. Hikers should take note that a valid adventure pass will need to be displayed in your vehicle to set out on this adventure.
Route Description for Old CC Spur Trail
If you often find yourself looking for a hiking route that is more about the journey than the destination, then the Old CC Spur Trail is a great option in the San Bernardino National Forest. Located just northwest of San Bernardino, this route features undulating terrain and nice views of the surrounding landscape. Setting out from the trailhead, you will follow Big Tree Cucamonga Road as it climbs uphill to the southwest around the slopes of Texas Hill. Eventually, you will break off to the right and follow along the dirt track known as Old CC Spur as it heads to the northwest. Take some time to survey your surroundings as you traverse the hilly landscape and marvel at the beauty of nature. This route doesn’t necessarily lead to a specific viewpoint, so when you are ready to head back to the trailhead you can simply turn back and retrace your footsteps.Getting to the Old CC Spur Trail Trailhead
