Whether you are looking for a simple day hike with easy terrain or are hoping to spend a few days camping out by the lake, the Big Meadows Reservoir Trail is a great option to explore if you find yourself in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado.
Setting out from the trailhead next to the campground, you will head to the southwest through the meadow, where you will eventually come to the edge of the forest where it meets the shores of the Big Meadows Reservoir.
