While out hiking the trail, you will hike through open terrain and brush covered hills, before arriving at the site of Falls Creek Falls for some lovely views of the cascading water. Whether you are simply looking for a bit of exercise or are wanting to get the family outdoors to enjoy the beauty of nature, the Church Camp Trail in Durango is a great way to satisfy all of your needs while taking in the rugged Colorado countryside.
Setting out from the roadside trailhead, you will head to the northeast across an open stretch of land, before following the trail over a series of undulating hills covered with brush. Eventually, you will cross over Falls Creek and the trail will hook to the east, bringing you to a beautiful vantage point looking onto the Falls Creek Falls. After taking in the views of the scenic waterfall, make your way back along the same route to relive the scenery on the return to the trailhead.
