Inspiration Point Loop Trail
The Inspiration Point Loop Trail is a fairly steep hiking route in the town of Creede that will see you gain elevation and views overlooking the surrounding landscape. While out hiking the trail, you will leave the town behind and climb up an exposed hillside to the northeast, passing through some sparsely populated trees to enjoy beautiful views overlooking Creede and nearby mountains. Although much of the trail is easy to follow, upper portions can be a bit tricky to navigate, making a GPS ideal if you are concerned about losing your way.

Route Description for Inspiration Point Loop Trail
If you are looking to stick pretty close to town but still want the leg-burning challenge and beautiful views of the mountains, then you should definitely check out the Inspiration Point Loop Trail in Creede, Colorado.
Setting out from the trailhead just beyond the junk cars on E 7th Street, you will begin climbing up the steep hillside in a northeast direction. The majority of this hiking route is exposed to the sun, so make sure to wear sunscreen and bring plenty of water. After the initial push uphill, keep left at the fork in order to arrive at a scenic viewpoint overlooking Creede.
As you continue climbing uphill, you will pass through a lightly forested stretch of terrain and begin looping around the upper portion of the trail while taking in some lovely views of the surrounding mountain landscape. Eventually, you will meet back up with your initial path and follow it back downhill on the return into the trailhead where you started.
