Spur Line Trail
The Spur Line Trail is a fun multi-use route near Durango, Colorado that will take you through a relatively flat stretch of terrain with pleasant views of the surrounding landscape. While out hiking the trail, you will make your way through the open grasslands and take in the views of nearby hills, before looping around on the return. As this route is primarily a mountain bike route, be sure to keep to the side of the trail and allow others enough room to safely pass by.

Route Description for Spur Line Trail
Whether you are new to the world of hiking or want to find a route near Durango that you can take the entire family on, the Spur Line Trail is a laid back trail that features easy to navigate terrain and some nice views of the surrounding hills and grasslands.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way east along the road and follow it across Wilson Gulch and County Road 235, before turning to the north across the open landscape. Here, you will follow along Wilson Gulch for a short distance, before branching off to the northeast.
As you loop around the open grassland landscape, take some time to appreciate the natural beauty of the surrounding hills. After reaching the northernmost point of the route, you will turn back to the south and follow the path alongside Wilson Gulch, before arriving back at the trailhead where you began your adventure.
Getting to the Spur Line Trail Trailhead
The starting point for the Spur Line Trail can be found at the corner of Clear Spring Ave and Mercado St in Grandview.
