Route Description for Lighthouse Point via Rosario Beach Trail
Lighthouse Park via Rosario Beach Trail is a gorgeous hike with some fun, rugged sections. It’s a good choice for adventurous families but the northern section of the loop might be a bit much for young children or those who are afraid of heights. Enjoy a perfect view of the Deception Pass Bridge.
Begin from the trailhead near the boat launch, heading south to the point. Cross over to the point and stay left; this allows you to hike the maintained southern section before deciding whether to continue on or not.
You can make a short loop by hiking down the southern portion of the island and then taking a right at the trail that cuts halfway through the point, or you can make a full loop by staying left and hiking around the unmaintained northern section of the trail. Whichever way you go, proceed back off the point and retrace your steps to the trailhead once you’re done.
