Lincoln Park Trail
Lincoln Park in West Seattle boasts so much to enjoy. This multi-use park has this 3.2 km hiking trail in addition to a web of others, bike paths, sandy beaches and dramatic bluffs, picnic areas, and gorgeous views. You could spend a day in the park exploring, but this loop trail takes you through all corners of the park. It’s a great way to stretch your legs, get the dogs out, and enjoy a slice of nature in the city. This trail is easy and mostly flat, so it’s suitable for all skill levels.

Route Description for Lincoln Park Trail
Lincoln Park Trail is an easy, enjoyable walk through the forests of the park with views over the ocean and access to the many other trails in the park. This loop is a great way to cover every corner of the park and get the lay of the land for future adventures. Bring a picnic, head to the beach, and make a day of this pleasant route. Note that the trail has many intersections, so downloading a GPS route is a good idea.
Begin from the trailhead at the middle of the park access road. You can do this loop either way, but we’ll describe it clockwise. Looking at the park, take a left onto the far left trail. You’ll walk next to a greenspace before heading into the forest. Continue on this trail past the picnic shelters and play areas.
Take a right onto Trail #2. Enjoy the seaside views as you walk along the point. Rounding the point, take a right near the play area and then another sharp right to pass by the wading pool. Follow this trail back to where you started.
Getting to the Lincoln Park Trail Trailhead
The trailhead for the Lincoln Park Trail is in the middle of the park access road off Fauntleroy Way SW.
