Bell Rock Loop Route Guide

Share your favourite pictures from this trail
Bell Rock is one of Sedona’s most recognizable rock formations, and the hike around it is a great trek that sees plenty of visitors. This guide details the loop trail around Bell Rock, so it’s a good pick if you want a bit of a longer hike than the short, straightforward Bell Rock Trail and want to see the rock from all angles. This hike is a bit longer than the out and back version, but it’s still considered easy and family-friendly. We love this route at sunset. This loop trail doesn’t include a climb up or part of the way up Bell Rock, but that can be easily added if you want to do so. Note that climbing even partway up Bell Rock requires some hands-on action in a narrow part of the trail. It’s not the best fit for very small children or those with mobility challenges. Without any additions or extensions, this loop stays on flat ground. Note that this route gets busy, so arrive early if you can.

To finish the Bell Rock Trail loop, hike between Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte, staying right at the next two junctions. Continue straight through subsequent intersections to remain on Bell Rock Pathway.
