Route Description for Shaver Lake Lakeview Trail
This hike would be a great addition to any adventurer’s hiking list. Reconnect with nature and let the fresh alpine air fill your lungs as you meander along the Shaver Lake Lakeview Trail. Indulge yourself in the views of one of the most popular lakes in the national forest whilst getting your steps in! Note the path can be confusing to follow, so we suggest using the trail GPS!
Setting out from the trailhead, the Shaver Lake Lakeview Trail heads northeast before diverting southeast onto Route 9S58. Soon you will reach an intersection; keep right here along the Lakeview Trail. This path will reward you with dumbfounding views of the shimmering alpine lake and encompassing mountains. Continue hiking this path all the way to Sheepcamp Bay. From here, retrace your footing back along the path until you reach the trail fork. Here keep right and head north along Route 9S58.
Follow this forest route all the way back to the initial unction which you confronted at the beginning of your hie. Veer left here, and you will be guided back to the trailhead.
