Route Description for Yellow Jacket Loop Trail
If you are after a hike in Oregon that isn’t too strenuous, but still offers beautiful views and a fun time on the trail, then the Yellow Jacket Loop Trail is a great option to explore.
Setting out from the trailhead on Hemlock Lake Road, you will make your way initially to the northwest and follow the trail as it bends to the southwest. Here, you will gradually climb uphill through a beautiful stretch of forest filled with mature trees and vibrant plant life.
Exiting the tree cover, you will pass through some lovely meadows and continue along the path as it turns to the east, providing some pleasant views of the surrounding landscape. After entering back into the forest, the trail will turn to the north, taking you across Hemlock Creek on the descent back into the trailhead where you began your hike.

The starting point for the Yellow Jacket Loop Trail can be found along Hemlock Lake Road, right next to Hemlock Lake itself.
