The hike to Le Lac Blanc de Termignon is a wonderful family hike in the alpine pastures of Vanoise National Park. Do not be fooled by the lack of distance, this short hike offers a beautiful panoramic view on the Dent Parrachée and can be combined with a visit to the Refuge du Lac Blanc.

Route Description for Le Lac Blanc de Termignon

From the parking lot, follow the sign towards Lac Blanc. The path takes you through beautiful alpine pastures.

If you are hiking fast, in approximately 40 minutes you will reach the Lac Blanc. If you have new hikers with you it could take up to 90 minutes. This hike is worth it. This is a really easy path with steady, but not extreme elevation gain, making it ideal for young families. While this is a great family hike, it’s not suitable for strollers! Your little ones will be very pleased with themselves for making this wonderful hike.

Once at Lac Blanc, you will find yourself facing a beautiful panoramic view of Dent Parrachée (3,697 m), and on the gorges of the Doron. You can have a look around the lake, hike to the Refuge du Lac Blanc, or explore the lakes of Bellecombe, if you continue above Lac Blanc for 30 more minutes. Frankly, we think the best thing to do is enjoy a lunch on the banks of the lake and take in the beauty of this wonderful place!

Follow the same itinerary for the way down.
