Route Description for Poet Ridge Hike
Poet Ridge is a great hike, offering wide-open views from atop the long ridge traverse. We definitely recommend trying to plan your visit when the wildflowers are in bloom. Note that some sections of this trail are narrow and rocky, so we don’t recommend bringing small children along.
Beginning from the trailhead, you’ll immediately start switchbacks up the base of the ridge. The views through this section aren’t very notable, so just keep going until you’re atop the ridge. Along the traverse, you’ll be able to begin to appreciate your surroundings and the scenery. This guide ends where the trail forks before the false summit. Turn back and retrace your steps to the parking lot.
