Little Burn, Big Burn, Heart Burn

The Little Burn, Big Burn, Heart Burn trails are a physically demanding 7.4 km point-to-point trail in Whistler that allows you to access the Blackcomb ski area without utilizing the gondola. Along the route, you will experience beautiful views and a real leg burn as you climb through 1,390 m of elevation gain. Hikers can either purchase a gondola ticket or retrace their journey by foot to return to the village.

Route Description for Little Burn, Big Burn, Heart Burn
The Little Burn, Big Burn, Heart Burn trails are a series of hiking routes in Whistler that set out from the village and climb uphill to the Rendezvous Lodge on Blackcomb Peak. Due to the intensity of the climb, this scenic point-to-point trail is often combined with a gondola ride back down the mountain to the village; however, it is more than acceptable to hike this as an out-and-back. Along the trail you will have amazingly scenic views of the Whistler area and will be provided with information on the local flora and fauna via a series of interpretive signs. Once you reach the top, you will have a commanding sightline over nearby peaks, including Whistler Mountain to the southwest. This hike is a great (and free!) way to get up Blackcomb Peak and explore the network of trails on the mountain.
Getting to the Little Burn, Big Burn, Heart Burn Trailhead
To reach the trailhead for Little Burn, Big Burn, Heart Burn from the highway in Whistler, turn off onto Lorimer Road and follow it for 1.2 km. Turn right onto Blackcomb Way and continue on for 550 m to find a small parking area on the left.
