Route Description for Harlequin Lake Trail
The Harlequin Lake Trail is a gorgeous, family-friendly hike in Yellowstone National Park. This trail may not be an epic adventure with dramatic geothermals or summit views, but it is a lovely spot to spend a day relaxing with loved ones. The trail to the lake is easy and relatively flat the whole way, and the lake at the end is a rewarding destination.
To hike this trail, begin at the Harlequin Lake Trailhead on West Entrance Road and follow the well-marked path for half a mile to the shores of Harlequin Lake.
Enjoy your time at the lakeside. When you are ready to head home, simply retrace your steps back out to the trailhead where you began.
