Eshton Circular Walk

Route Description for Eshton Circular Walk
A short route that features some lovely Yorkshire Dales scenery, the Eshton Circular Walk really is a laid back adventure that can be enjoyed by the entire family. While the route is easy, it also contains a few stretches where you will need to walk along country roads. Make sure to keep an eye on young children and dogs while making your way through these areas.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will follow Winterburn Lane to the northeast to cross over the flowing waters of Eshton Beck, before turning south along a footpath. Here, you will follow along the beck for a short distance and take in the lovely views of the surrounding countryside before crossing back over the beck on the return leg of the walk. Climbing gently uphill to the southwest, you will eventually meet up with the road, turning right to follow it back to the trailhead.
Getting to the Eshton Circular Walk Trailhead
To reach the trailhead for the Eshton Circular Walk from Gargrave, head north on Eshton Road for 1.4 km and continue straight for another 1.4 km. Make a right on Winterburn Lane and follow it for 0.3 km, turning left to enter the Ash Keys Caravan Park. If you are not looking to start your walk from the campground, simply find a layby along the road somewhere close by.
