    The Grassington Meadows and the River Wharfe Walk is a fantastic journey through the countryside that will showcase a charming stretch of terrain within Yorkshire Dales National Park. While out walking this lovely trail, you will experience the small market town of Grassington and climb uphill through nearby meadows before meandering along the serene banks of the River Wharfe. This is an amazing adventure that the whole family will be sure to enjoy.

    Route Description for Grassington Meadows and the River Wharfe Walk

    If you are after a laidback stroll that will take you through some picturesque terrain within Yorkshire Dales National Park, then look no further than the Grassington Meadows and River Wharfe Walk. This family-friendly walk is perfectly suited for getting the entire gang out on the trails to enjoy the outdoors, without offering too much in the way of difficulty.

    Beginning in the heart of town at the National Park Centre, you will head to the northeast through the town and follow a stone wall that will take you uphill across the countryside. After passing by several farms, you will turn to the south and make your way downhill, eventually crossing over Hebden Road and turning to the southwest towards the banks of the River Wharfe.

    Once you arrive at the banks of the river, follow them to the northwest to pass by the mill, shortly after which, you will come to the site of Linton Falls. Take some time to appreciate the beauty of the falls and surrounding stone buildings before climbing back uphill to the north on the return to the car park.

    Getting to the Grassington Meadows and the River Wharfe Walk Trailhead

    To reach the trailhead for the Grassington and the River Wharfe Walk from Skipton, drive northwest on Mill Bridge/B6265 for 0.3 km and make a slight right on Grassington Road, following it for 0.8 km. At the roundabout, take the third exit to stay on Grassington Road for another 12.2 km. Make a right on Station Road and follow it for 1.6 km before turning right to enter the car park.
