Welcome to Dresden, the capital of Saxony and a historic city bursting with classic architecture, baroque churches, palaces, and museums. Dresden is the perfect home base for exploring many beautiful sights by bicycle, foot and train.
Spend the evening enjoying the city, perhaps finding a restaurant patio where you can enjoy some local cuisine and a drink, watching the city go by.
With a map in hand, you're ready to take the scenic ride to Meissen, passing the striking Gohliser windmill on the way.
Once at Meissen you'll visit a famous porcelain factory (souvenirs, anyone?). After the tour, take the suburban train back to Dresden.
Dresden is the gateway to Saxony and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Start by taking a train to Bad Schandau, and then ride along the Elbe River back towards Dresden. This route lets you visit the Konigstein Fortress, the iconic Bastei Bridge, and Pillnitz Castle on the way.
Today you take a break from biking and enjoy a city tour of Dresden. Relax on a sightseeing bus, get around on the Dresden Funicular Railway, and cruise on the historic Saxon Paddle Steamer ships that show off the scenic river routes.
After breakfast, you'll bike to Radebeul and take a ride on the Lößnitzgrundbahn Railway to Mortizburg Castle. Built as a hunting lodge by Duke Moritz, this impressive Baroque building is surrounded by a lake and exceptionally landscaped gardens.
After returning to Radebeul you can take a train to Dresden, or ride your bike back if you’re feeling energetic.
Whether Forest Tharandt or the Heath Dresden - the surrounding area still offers numerous variants for day trips. Also in Dresden itself there is certainly still much undiscovered!

The rental bikes will be delivered to your hotel at 8 am on Day 1. The bike will be picked up from the last hotel when the tour finishes.
