After an early morning transfer to the Zinal valley, you will set off to climb up to the Col de la Forcletta at 2,874 m (9,430 ft). This marks the passage into the Turtmann valley, which is undoubtedly the most unspoilt valley in the canton of Valais!
You will then descend through alpine meadows, before making a final ascent to the Turtmannhütte refuge, where you will be surrounded by wonderful mountain views.
Today you will set off for an ascent of the highest pass on this trek between Chamonix and Zermatt: Schöllijoch Pass. Day 4 of the tour will see you cross the serene valley landscape beneath the Bishorn and Weisshorn peaks, which tower above you at over 4,000 m (13,125 ft). Afterwards, you will descend into Randa where you will spend the night.
After breakfast, you will cross the valley to reach a magnificent traverse that offers fabulous panoramic views of the many peaks over 4,000 m (13,125 ft) in the area. From here, you will embark on a climb up to the Täschhütte refuge, where you will spend one last night in a spectacular mountain setting.
On the last day of your magnificent mountain adventure, you will retrace your steps to the Europaweghütte. From here, you will set out on the path to Zermatt along a route that takes you through a picturesque setting surrounded by the peaks over 4,000 m (13,125 ft) in the area.
