Your day will start with a scenic drive along the crater rim to the trailhead to ascend Mount Scott. Despite it being the highest point in the park, the climb will be a gentle ascent, and you will be wowed by the views of vast forested areas and Crater Lake from the top of this stratovolcano.
Begin your day with a hike to Upper Annie Falls. Then you’ll be driven to the Oregon Caves National Monument, where you’ll hike through the forests of the Big Tree Loop. Tonight, you’ll move to your new lodgings in Grants Pass.
On your hike today, you’ll visit the Siskiyou Forest on your way up to Mount Elijah. Take in the spectacular view of nature surrounding you before descending back down into the meadows.
This morning, you’ll take a tour through the caves and learn about the history of their formation and the area. You’ll return above ground near the Cliff Nature Trail, where you’ll have some time to wander around before taking the shuttle back to Medford.
