Itinerary for Hiking Tour of Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula
First Hike From Girdwood
The tour’s shuttle van will meet you in Anchorage and bring you to Girdwood, which will be home for your first two nights. In the afternoon, you’ll hike the Winner Creek Trail to the Gorge Bridge.
Hike the Iditarod Trail
Today, you’ll continue hiking along the Winner Creek Trail, which follows the path of the historic Iditarod. It will be a gradual climb to reach the beautiful waterfalls at Winner Creek Gorge. Along the trail, you’ll pass the Monarch Gold mine, Crystal Lake, and Raven Glacier.
Crow Pass Hike
The Course Creek Trail will take you to Crow Pass, where you’ll have an amazing vantage point to see the Right and Wrong Mountains. You’ll finish your hike after reaching Crescent Lake.
In the afternoon, the shuttle will take the group to Seward to check-in at your new hotel.
Hike Beneath Resurrection Peaks
The trail today has the spectacular Resurrection Peaks soaring above it. You’ll love the scenic views as you climb along Box Canyon Creek towards Lost Lake.
Kenai Fjords Boat Tour
Give your legs a break today with a spectacular boat cruise. You’ll take the boat from Seward and admire the glaciers and rugged scenery of the Kenai Fjords National Park. This is also a great place to look for wildlife, which may include a whale sighting!
Icefield Hike
Today, you’ll continue your exploration of the Kenai Fjords National Park. You’ll hike the Harding Trail to the impressive Harding Icefield, which is 35 miles long. After your visit to the icefields, the van will bring you back to Anchorage to conclude your tour.
