Arrive & stay overnight in Conwy. Spend an evening exploring the city.
This is a circular walk in Snowdonia National Park starting from Caerlyr Hall hotel to Conwy and back over Conwy mountain. You will have views of the coast and a wonderful stopping point in Conwy for refreshments halfway through. The views from Mynydd Y Dref are stunning year-round. Make sure to be prepared with sturdy shoes for the hill climb.
This walk follows the inland stretch of the Wales Coast Path over Conwy Mountain, through a landscape rich in history and heritage – this is a great alternative to the official route with a fantastic high vantage point with panoramic views over to Isle of Anglesey and the Irish Sea.
Starting from the World Heritage Site of Conwy, with its impressive 12th-century castle and town walls, the path goes along the quay before turning away from coast and heading upwards. Choose to return along the main coastal path just before Penmaemawr or continue to the pretty little Victorian resort of Llanfairfechan, enjoying spectacular views across the Menai Strait as you go. If you opt for the latter then you can catch a bus to return to Conwy or we can arrange a taxi transfer (payable locally).
