By bus along the wonderfully glittering Lake Resia past the former church tower in the dammed lake. From St. Valentin through the Talaiwald forest up to the quaint village and down to the fishing huts on Lake Haidersee. You then hike further along the shore over wooden bridges and footbridges. Here you can watch the many ducks swimming in the lake from secluded spots. Across mountain meadows and pastureland to the mountain lake and along the Sonnensteig trail down to Burgusio.
Explore Bronze Age cave settlements
Along the Sonnensteig, an exciting Waalweg trail where you can learn lots of interesting facts about the legends of the Vinschgau Valley and marvel at the fantastic views of the snow-covered mountain peaks. High above Malles along the Oberwaal, you continue your hike across beautiful mountain meadows to the "Ganglegg". Take a walk through the best-researched Bronze and Iron Age hilltop settlement in the entire Alpine region. Finally, cross impressive bridges and wooden walkways over the gorge to the stage destination of Silandro. An impressive ride on the Vinschgaubahn takes you to your overnight stay.
Ride on the Vinschgaubahn
In the morning, you follow the panoramic high trail along sunny slopes to Vezzan. Brave hikers climb to the suspension bridge in the shady gorge over the Tisser mountain stream. The Latschander Waalweg trail also runs spectacularly high above the Etschtal valley and takes you directly through the vineyards to the castle in Kastelbell.
