Route Description for Saints Circular Walk
If you are simply looking to get outside and enjoy the natural beauty of the Cornish landscape, then the Saints Circular Walk is a great option to do so. Featuring open fields, tranquil forests, and rugged tors with scenic viewpoints, this is an excellent adventure for casual and experienced walkers.
Setting out from the trailhead on the edge of the village of Luxulyan, you will make your way north past the Luxulyan Quarry, working through the charming farmlands of Cornwall until you arrive at the edge of Breney Common. Here, you will follow the trail east, as it passes through a serene stretch of woodland terrain to arrive at the Helman Tor car park.
Heading to the north here, you will climb up the rocky and rugged slopes of Helman Tor to reach the summit, where you will have a commanding view of the surrounding area. After taking in the views, you will head downhill and follo a track leading to the southeast, where you will once again traverse the open countryside. After the route turns towards the southwest, you will make the final approach back into Luxulyan that will take you over a branch of the River Par and bring you back to the trailhead where you started.
