Route Description for Castle Combe and Nettleton Mill Walk

The Castle Combe and Nettleton Mill Walk begins in the Cotswold village that often symbolizes the region—the honey-coloured stone buildings are often used as movie filming locations. Walk from the quintessential Cotswolds town of Castle Combe past the golf course and be sure to look out for flying golf balls as you pass, and allow golfers to play through before you cross.

The trail leads you into the beautiful countryside of this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Follow the bubbling stream to the historic Nettleton Mill Site, and then journey back to town on the path through the beech forest. There are some hilly sections with a few steep climbs, you’ll also find some areas on the Castle Combe and Nettleton Mill path that may not be well maintained.
