Directions to Trailhead

The Guiting Power and Naunton Circular Walk is a fun experience in The Cotswolds AONB that features a good variety of terrain and scenic views of the surrounding landscape. While out on the trail, you will traverse open fields and quiet pathways that will lead you through historic villages with stone cottages and stretches of farmland packed with rolling green hills. There are a few steep climbs along the route, but the wonderfully scenic views are well worth the effort.

Route Description for Guiting Power and Naunton Circular Walk

Although it features some fairly steep sections of trail, the Guiting Power and Naunton Circular Walk is a splendid adventure that will lead you through a variety of terrain set within the beautiful expanse of The Cotswolds AONB. Setting out from the historic village of Guiting Power, you will head to the northeast to make your way through the Village of Barton before climbing up the steep hillside. Eventually, the trail will bend to the south and take you through a lovely stretch of farmland, descending the hillside on the way to the village of Naunton. Once there, you will turn your direction to the northwest, following along the winding banks of the River Windrush on the return leg of the journey back to Guiting Power.

Getting to the Guiting Power and Naunton Circular Walk Trailhead

To reach the trailhead for the Guiting Power and Naunton Circular Walk from Winchcombe, drive southeast for 0.8 km along Castle Street and continue straight for 7.6 km on Sudeley Hill. Pass through The Square and turn right after 87 m onto CHurch Street, where you will find the car park in 122 m.
