    The Monarch Way Circular Walk takes you through the incredible Cotswolds AONB. Starting from the village of Cold Ashton, you’ll travel the countryside along sprawling fields and rolling hills that afford sweeping views of this spectacular landscape. Along your way, you’ll also come across some lovely churches and charming Cotswolds villages.

    Route Description for Monarch Way Circular Walk

    The Monarch Way Circular Walk is a Cotswolds walk from the village of Cold Ashton. This is an incredibly scenic and varied loop if you are looking for an all-day walk. The walk begins along Cotswolds Way and goes through the beautiful open fields that offer tremendous views of the rolling countryside and the River Severn.

    During this walk, you’ll visit charming little villages such as Doynton, Wick, and Upton Cheyney which offer great options to stop for refreshments. You will be travelling through some varied terrain that can get muddy in wet weather.

    Getting to the Monarch Way Circular Walk Trailhead

    The Monarch Way Circular Walk begins in the village of Cold Ashton. If you take Hyde’s Lane from the A46, you’ll reach the village, and you can find parking in the Cold Ashton Parish Car Park. The walk begins from the Parish Hall along the Cotswolds Way.
