    Route Description for Painswick and Edge Circular Walk

    The Painswick and Edge Circular begins in charming Painswick. Enjoy strolling the streets lined with buildings built from the iconic honey-coloured brick before you leave the village. The route will lead you into the beautiful rolling countryside. Some of the route can get muddy and slippery, so ensure you wear your walking boots.

    You’ll come across lots of livestock during your walk, so dogs should be kept on a lead. The path includes sections of public paths that go through private property. After you enjoy the beautiful scenery and remote countryside views, you’ll end up back in Painswick, where you’ll find some nice pubs and cafes for some after-walk refreshments.

    There are a few bus stops and lots of local parking in Painswick. To get to the Painswick and Edge Circular walk down New St until you reach the Painswick Church, when you reach the church make sure to follow the route down New Street, in the direction away from Victoria Square and Town Hall.
